Bedroom thoughts!
Helloooo, well i'm going to go straight to it. I'm redoing my room!
This excites me ALOT! I painted my walls blue about 8 years ago and as a teenager I stuck a lot of posters on my way.. (what can i say? posters of hot celebrities were my thing, plus that was normal.. no? ). The older I got, the more I understood that I was over them, so then I started putting loads of pictures of my friends and I! Which I loved, but let me give you a tip, never hang photos on-top of a radiator (they end up curling, ruining your pictures), also don't stick stuff on your walls with blue tack.. the wall comes off when you take the pictures off (oops).
So for the last year my wall has been quite plain with ripped out parts, and this kinda makes me feel like i'm still living in a kiddies room. Even though I wont be changing any furniture except my bed, i'm still so excited!
So i'll tell you what my plan is: i have three walls (one is a built in wardrobe with siding mirrors as doors, so I don't count that one), two of them i'm planning to paint absolute white. The wall in between the two, I want to paint a really pale grey, or duck egg colour (i'm leaning more onto the grey colour). I'm also going to change my lighting to something thats got to do with copper and vintage lighting (i'm a bit obsessed with both those things!.. saying 'a bit' is a lie.. i'm really obsessed with them!) Also I want to get some fairy lights on-top of my bookshelves, because it looks quite messy and everything that I have I either want to keep or need to keep.. so I thought making it look nicer would do the job!
To top it all off i'm going to get bedding and pillows with bright/strong colours to add some colour to my room because all my furniture is white.
I'll be doing this in about a week and half so i'll write a post about the make over and show you how it turned out!
